Pruning
By pruning plants and shrubs regularly, they will grow and bloom well. Pruning encourages new shoots (twigs) to form, making them fuller.
I have pruning waste, where can I dispose of it?
For more information, visit the Collection of Pruning Waste page.
When does the municipality start pruning?
There are different times for pruning, depending on the type of plant and shrub. The municipality usually starts pruning at the end of October and continues until March 15. After that, the municipality continues pruning trees until the end of April.
When is the pruning waste collected after the municipality has pruned?
Prunings sometimes remain for a long time. During the pruning season, prunings are not always cleared up immediately. During that period, the municipality is pruning with several teams at the same time. The locations are brought together in order to clear them up in a targeted manner, to shred them or to load them onto the truck.
Do you have pruning waste yourself? Then you can bring it to the municipal composting site. If you are unable to take it yourself, the municipality will collect it for a fee. See our website for more information.
I am inconvenienced by overhanging branches on bushes and trees
I have complaints about the untidiness of planted green areas
I suffer from shade on my solar panels
When adopting the Sustainability Agenda and the Heat Vision in 2021, the council also established a policy on how the municipality deals with shade from municipal trees on solar panels. It was decided that the municipality will not cut down or drastically prune municipal trees in existing situations because of the solar panels.
