Start making the 'It Súd' housing development plan in Hurdegaryp ready for construction
The 'It Súd' housing development plan in Hurdegaryp is being prepared for construction, so that the construction of houses can start in the short term. Residents of Hurdegaryp and the municipality have jointly developed the design for the 'It Súd' housing development plan. This plan provides for 55 affordable homes for various target groups, such as seniors and starters. The plan is located on the east side of the village center. The arrival of these homes promotes the quality of life in Hurdegaryp.
Positive experience
The participation process, which took place in 2023 and 2024, was experienced as very positive by the residents and the municipality. The results of this process were presented during the general members' meeting of Dorpsbelang Hurdegaryp in April 2024. After this presentation, the municipality worked on the zoning procedure to further shape the housing plan. 'We are incredibly proud of the collaboration with the residents,' says Alderman Berber van Zandbergen. 'This housing plan is an important step for the expansion and strengthening of the local vitality and quality of life of Hurdegaryp.'
Construction for various target groups
The housing development plan is a logical expansion of the village, which can serve many different target groups. The plan provides for 16 social rental homes, 13 detached houses, 18 semi-detached houses and 8 patio homes. The sale of the free plots will start in week 19 of this year. The individual building plots will then also be offered to a project developer or developing contractor. The rental properties will be rented out by WoonFriesland.
