Work and Income Newsletter (September 2024)

In this newsletter, you can read all about (new) developments and opportunities in the areas of work, income, assistance with making ends meet and/or debts, and other support from the municipality.

Welfare benefits and the 13th month

Do you work while receiving benefits? If so, you will earn a wage. You will accrue holiday pay each month from your wage. Sometimes, you also accrue a year-end bonus, also known as a 13th month. We take your holiday pay and year-end bonus into account when calculating your benefits.

Year-end bonus

Do you receive a year-end bonus? If so, your employer pays this out either monthly or in one lump sum in December. It is most convenient to have it paid out monthly. You can arrange this with your employer. This way, we can immediately calculate the correct amount of assistance you will receive each month. If you receive your year-end bonus in one lump sum in December, we can only calculate the correct amount of assistance at the end of the year. We will then settle it with your assistance payments in the following months.

Do you have any questions? Ask your income consultant.

Report income and changes online

From October 15th, you can manage your benefits online via the municipality's website. You will need your DigiD to do this.

What can you arrange yourself?

  • Fill in your income form
  • Fill in your change form

From October 15th, a section called 'My Income' will be available on the municipality's website. You will receive more information about this at home soon.

In the near future, you will be able to apply for a scheme or special assistance via the website. You will also be able to submit your request for assistance to the Area Team via the website, for example, about work, income, care, education, daytime activities, or youth assistance.
