Undermining
What is subversion?
Giving a definition of undermining is difficult. For undermining is a result of many different forms of crime, where the boundaries between the upper world ("normal" society) and the underworld (criminals) are blurred.
Undermining is a form of crime in which criminals mix illegal activities with legitimate society by using legitimate businesses, services, and government systems. Examples include drug trafficking, human trafficking, money laundering, and fraud, where criminal money is used in legitimate industries such as hospitality or real estate. This affects society, disrupts the economy, undermines government authority, and leads to feelings of insecurity.
Organized crime
Criminals need help from the "upper world" for their activities. For example, from real estate agents, car rental companies, administrative offices, owners in the agricultural sector and notaries. Undermining is the constant pounding of organized crime (underworld) on our society (upper world).
